T-PAS is test material for assessing readiness for learning academic skills in children who are transiting from preschool to primary school.  Being field tested with typically developing children, as well as children with communication disorders it will be useful with both populations.  With its wide of array 60 different tasks under 20 sub-sections covering pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-number skills, performance results enable comprehensive insight into children's current attainment as well as need for further remedy and supports.  The appealing test items were designed to make testing less taxing and more of fun for children.  They can also provide lead to caregivers and early childhood educators in carrying out diverse activities for training in pre-academic skills.
