The test is useful for assessing the early speech perception of the Malayalam speaking children with hearing impairment in the age range of 2-5 years. In addition, candidacy for amplification system can be determined and evaluation of pre- and post therapy performance of hearing impaired children can be carried out. The test can also be administered on children with delayed and or deviant language abilities such as mental retardation and cerebral palsy.
