This is a clinical diagnostic tool to assess how lexical factors influence speech recognition. The test consists of two lists of 50 bi-syllabic Telugu words, categorized into "easy" words (high frequency, low neighborhood density) and "hard" words (low frequency, high neighborhood density). It is designed for children aged 7 to 12 years to evaluate their ability to organize and access words within their mental lexicon and to identify Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD). By comparing performance between these word categories, clinicians can determine the maturity of a child's auditory processing and develop targeted rehabilitative strategies.
