This is a clinical tool designed for children aged 2.6 to 4.6 years. Adapted from a Kannada-language protocol, it evaluates three primary domains: oral motor, oral praxis, and verbal praxis skills to identify breakdown levels in speech production. The verbal praxis section is specifically tailored to the linguistic structure of Malayalam, accounting for its unique phonemic and semantic constraints. Developed through a multi-phase research process at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, the protocol assists clinicians in identifying deficits, establishing therapy goals, and tracking progress for children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
